URGENT APPOINTMENTS ONLY - 09.08.23

Unfortunately, we have a high level of short notice, clinical staff sickness today. Therefore, we only have capacity to see patients with urgent medical problems today. Don't forget, you can ask a pharmacist for advice and treatment for minor illness such as coughs, colds, sore throats, eye infections, urine infections and earaches.

OPEN WEEKENDS TO HELP LOCAL HOSPITALS

Due to staff crisis at our local hospitals, Atlantic Medical Group will be open from 9-12 this Saturday and Sunday

Due to limited staff this will be at St Clare Medical Centre only. If you have a medical emergency, please continue to call 999. If you have an urgent medical issue, please call the normal surgery number 01736 363741 or 01736 788306 or drop in between 9-12. After 12 noon each day please revert to calling 111 for any medical issues.

IMPORTANT

STREP A AND SCARLET FEVER UPDATE 

 

As your primary care provider we are keen to support you in managing sore throats and illness this winter. You may have been alarmed by recent national media coverage of Strep A and Scarlet Fever. Please do NOT panic. The current levels of Strep A infection are not significantly higher than many previous years:

We are just seeing a peak of infections in December rather than the Spring as normal.

NOROVIRUS

Norovirus, or the winter vomiting bug, is spreading right now. It impacts patients, staff and healthcare services. Please do not visit if you have had symptoms of diarrhoea or vomiting within the past 48 hours or have been in contact with someone else who has.
